Design offers this era the last wonderful moments. HOW DESIGN cares about the result as well as the process of design, listens carefully to everyone sharing his or her attitude towards life and special ideas, and carefully digs out the stories and relations behind designs. We believe that designs with warmth and life can speak for themselves.
Independent curator, founder of Qing Studio, co-founder of Kaolin Ceramics Organization, and columnist. Founded in 2016, Qing Studio devotes to spread and promote Chinese original design and find the way to transform and combine contemporary handcrafts and design through exhibition planning and media publishing. In 2012, she worked with Designer YING Jian and Ceramist Derek Au to set up Kaolin Ceramics Organization, to discover and introduce many more Chinese and foreign ceramists and cutting-edge ceramic designers, plan ceramic exhibitions and promote Chinese ceramics worldwide.
Post 85s and born in Nanchang. Ceramic Designer and founder of “UP” ceramic brand. At the age of 16, he went to Jingdezhen to learn ceramics. Three years later, he finished his apprenticeship and started to do independent creation. He set up his own ceramics studio in 2008 and later changed the studio name into “UP” in 2013. His works are dominated by living supplies, admire the shape and texture of ceramics, contain the “Five Elements of Material Nature”, which are metal, wood, water, fire and earth, and blend his understanding of life in the diversity of forms and patterns.
Designer founder, visual artist, founder and Art Director of Artiavie. Born in Sichuan Province, China in 1975 and graduated from Chengdu University in 1996, he now lives in Chengdu. Since his engagement to design in 1997, he has been involved in many artistic design shows and exchanges at home and abroad and helped to design the images of several international cultural artistic agencies. He participated in the design and promotion of almost all large-size cultural and artistic events in Chengdu. In recent years, his creations turn from graphic to multi-dimensional, such as spatial and product design, and try to break the border between art, design and life.
Ceramic designer and the founder of TheFF Ceramic Studio. Graduated from Jingdezhen Ceramic Institute in 2009 and obtained Master Degree from School of Design and Crafts of University of Gothenburg in Sweden in 2012. Most of her creations are made from ceramic, showing the wonderful world in her understanding with touching and time-consuming handworks. Her solo exhibitions took place in Jingdezhen, Gothenburg, Stockholm, Nanjing and many other places. In 2016, she set up TheFF. Ceramic Studio in Jingdezhen to express the valuable beauty to its extreme by creating hand-made utensils.
